Covad Citizenship

Covad proudly supports the communities in which we live and work through nationwide and local programs. Qualified community non-profit organizations are eligible for discounts on Covad's business services.

The focus of Covad's corporate citizenship efforts is entrepreneurship and economic development. Innovation and entrepreneurial spirit are core elements of Covad's culture and brand. A national program focused on micro entrepreneurship reinforces this connection, and delivers on Covad's objectives, including reaching out to very small businesses through the donation of Covad's services.

Covad's signature corporate citizenship program, the Covad Broadband Entrepreneur Program, enables low and moderate income micro entrepreneurs, particularly female, disabled, and minority micro entrepreneurs across the country to enhance their businesses through award packages of cash and broadband service.

Our corporate citizenship programs include partnerships with the Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO) and AEO members:

We also provide discounted services on our business line products to 5013c non-profit organizations.

"AEO is so grateful for Covad's continued support and commitment to microenterprise development.

The free broadband service and cash awards provided through the Covad Broadband Entrepreneur Program have greatly benefited nearly 350 microentrepreneurs across the country since 2003. The program has been so well received by these entrepreneurs and by our members who implement the program. We look forward to continued success in 2006."
–Zulma Bianca, Interim Executive Director, AEO.
