Standard Installation

Professional Installation
- A Covad technician will come out to your location and install your service for a one-time installation fee of $175
- To order professional installation, be sure to select the Professional Installation option when ordering service
Wireless Installation
- For wireless professional installation, the Covad technician will:
- Configure your wireless equipment with security enabled
- Set up a maximum of two computers on the wireless network, using Covad-supplied adapters only
Note: Covad ADSL equipment: is compatible with Windows 2000, XP Home, XP Pro, XP Media Center Edition, Vista and Mac OS 10.1 and higher.
Phone Line Requirements
- You must have a local telephone service through one of the following local phone companies:
- AT&T (formerly Ameritech, SNET Southwestern Bell, SBC/PacBell)
- Verizon
- Bell South
- Qwest
- The information (name, address, and telephone number) provided to Covad when ordering service must match exactly the information on your local phone bill. There are certain voice services that you may be using that are not compatible with this service. If you have one of the following services: Centrex, PBX, or Key Systems, Covad may be able to provide a Dedicated DSL (TeleSoho) service. details

- Wireless* 802.11g router with PC card adapter—Connects up to four wired computers and up to thirty wireless computers. Includes built-in firewall and NAT support. PC Card adapter is used to connect one Windows-compatible laptop computer to a wireless network.
- Bridge—Single-user solution (supports single IP address only). Simple to install and configure.

IP Addressing
